Where Alpine Tradition Meets Timeless Elegance
About This Village
Nestled at the foot of the majestic Weisshorn, Val Seren is a quiet summer hiking village that has preserved its centuries-old character while offering every modern comfort. The village, with its traditional wooden chalets adorned with geranium-filled window boxes, sits at an elevation of 1,620 meters — open from late June through mid-September, when the long days bring warmth to the alpage meadows and wildflowers blanket the trails.
The surrounding peaks offer some of the finest hiking terrain in the Alps, with over 200 kilometers of marked trails ranging from gentle valley walks to challenging high-altitude ridgelines. The sound of cowbells drifts across the meadows, and the extensive network of cable cars provides easy access to panoramic viewpoints and mountain restaurants.
Val Seren maintains a refined, understated atmosphere that appeals to those who appreciate quality over ostentation. The village center, a short stroll from all our properties, offers excellent restaurants, artisan bakeries, and boutiques selling local crafts and alpine provisions.
